Strip crowns are prefabricated transparent plastic crown forms or moulds which is used to treat large cavities in front teeth of kids. After removing the caries, the appropriate sized strip crown is selected and filled with the composite resin and placed over the prepared tooth and cured. Then the strip crown or mould is stripped off. Thus it is very easy to shape the composite resin restoration using strip crowns giving a natural look to the tooth. The restoration can be done quickly and helps to restore the self esteem of the child.
